EQAVET and Quality Assurance

MFHEA serves as the National Reference Point for EQAVET (European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training). In this capacity, we support the implementation of European quality assurance principles across Malta’s vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Through the promotion of effective quality assurance processes and continuous improvement, EQAVET ensures that vocational education remains learner-centred, relevant to the labour market, and aligned with European best practices.

We assist in the comprehensive development of quality assurance systems at both national and regional levels by establishing clear standards and procedures that VET providers can follow to achieve high-quality outcomes.

EQAVET also strengthens mutual trust and transparency among member states, facilitating the mobility of learners and workers. This enables learners to move confidently between countries, knowing their qualifications will be recognized and respected.
